Sunday night, I had a migraine rolling through my hemispheres. As soon as the baby was in bed, I was done for.
I woke up at 7am feeling like a new woman!
My Monday’s right now are the average persons weekend. I get 1 day off a week, and that should be changing back to zero shortly!
It was gorgeous today and I was on a mission. Before 10am I had fed breakfast to my son and I, vacuumed the muffin disaster leftovers from the floor and high chair, put away 2 baskets of clean laundry, messaged clients, and was prepping Junior to go to the park!
Monday is also my family day. My son stays home from daycare and with winter wrapping up, it’s one of the final few days my “Husband” will be home during the day. This also means it’s my one day I get to “sleep-in” past 7:30am. We have no where to be before noon, so we take our time.
It was well over 10 degrees today so we took full advantage! Apparently it’s going to snow again this weekend because my joints can really handle yet another flip-flop in weather changes.
I got us both bundled, two water bottles ready, and a bag of gummies and another of crackers – just to be safe! (Spoiler alert: I’m so glad I packed these!)
I’m not sure my son understood what was happening, but every time I asked if he wanted to go to the park he would answer “YA!” with loads of excitement.
Forgive the spam of pictures, I can’t align them any other way on my phone.
My Dude had a blast! He made a friend who he kept giving hugs to by the end, he played on every toy, and he didn’t want to leave.
Thankfully, I brought the snacks. He wouldn’t stay still in the stroller until I gave him a cracker prior to putting him in. I get that it was fun, but we were there an hour and my butt was soaked from going down the slides over and over!
(He had a hat, it was discarded and he wanted nothing to do with it.)
We had plans for the day, but they changed, so instead of going out for lunch it was a KD and hotdogs type of day. Never step in between this kid and his noodles, he’ll cut a B! He was the happiest of babies when I put him down for his nap today. That made my heart shine.
We made plans to hire a nighttime babysitter this evening to go out with my parents and enjoy a few hours of bingo. This triggered an hour long cleaning frenzy of my room and the baby’s room. I’m not sure how but I ended up eating my dinner in the car because super mom gets no help. I’ve been meaning to clean his room out for a while so now though, so now I can take another step forward reorganizing for his big boy bed!
I’d like to say I slay more days than not, but who am I kidding? There’s always next Monday.
