When I woke up this morning, I had a mental list of things I wanted to get done. I was off to a great start but somehow the day got ahead of me. Plus, you know me – my memory sucks these days.
Now it’s 9pm, I’m laying in bed, and completely tempted to forego updating my QuickBooks until tomorrow. My “Husband” and I just put our son to bed for the third time tonight. I have very little interest in doing anything at all.
I have had a few ideas this weekend that I wanted to share with you all.
- Obviously the 30 Day Challenge was a bust, life got me too busy for that. Since Monday’s are my designated days off though, Monday’s will now also be my purge days.
- I mentioned previously that I wanted to try making my own sweet potato fries. I have 2 massive sweet potatoes which I will be turning into fries this week and freezing most of for a later date. This also leads me to tell you that once a week a would like to try to make a recipe that I would normally eat at a restaurant or that comes in far too much packaging.
- I have been plastic water bottle free for a month now. I can’t wait to share that story with you!
- I am always looking for ways to broaden this lifestyle with research and experiments. If anyone has an idea they’d think I’d like or would like to see tried out before they do it themselves (Minimalism or zero waste related) pitch the idea my way. I’ll give it a go and always be honest with my findings.
Since starting this journey a month ago, my “Husband” and I have not spent money on anything extra. Bills, food, transportation, and the odd take out here or there. That’s it! We have been doing so well that we have already started saving for our home again. Things are far from perfect, but we are off to an excellent start!
